Why Now
Cryptography migrations take years. Preparation starts with knowing where you stand.
NIST finalized its first post-quantum cryptography standards in 2024 and its transition roadmap (NIST IR 8547) in October 2026, and government migration timelines are underway. Enterprise cryptography migrations take years, so preparation has to start well before quantum capability arrives.
Harvest-now-decrypt-later attacks also put long-lived health, financial, and government data at risk today: encrypted information collected now could be decrypted once quantum capability arrives.
